Today, September 21, is the International Day of Peace! Here are just some of the many activities that are taking place across the globe:internationaldayofpeace.org/get-involved/On this day, we celebrate the efforts of organizations dedicated to fostering peace. One peace-centered organization that we support through our sister organization, the Cultures of Resistance Network, is Rebuilding Alliance in Palestine. Rebuilding Alliance is dedicated to fostering peace and helping war-torn neighborhoods rebuild. Currently, one of their projects in the West Bank is helping eight families rebuild their homes that were destroyed. While four of the homes are finished, they are still raising funds to complete four more. Rabeh Abdullah Debek is the father of one of the families still in need of a home. Rebuilding Alliance believes that construction is the best response to destruction, and that rebuilding projects ease trauma, nurture trust, and strengthen peacemakers to move forward in tangible ways.Your support can help Rabeh’s family and many others!
