Hi friends,
During these difficult times, our philosophy at Cultures of Resistance Films has been to turn negatives into positives and to look for opportunities amid the challenges we’ve all been facing. It has been gratifying to premiere some of our new films online and to host Q&A events that have allowed us to come together across borders and time zones.
We’re still doing a variety of online screenings and participating in festivals that have moved to a virtual format, as many places in the world are still locked down. At the same time, we are excited that conditions in other cities have allowed the gradual return of in-person screenings and outdoor events! While being mindful of local guidelines, the prospect of people being able to gather once again to collectively experience cinema is comforting–and we look forward to a time when this will be possible again all over the world.
In the coming months, our films will be going to places including Argentina, Belgium, Croatia, Slovakia, Portugal, Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, Ghana, Hong Kong, and Romania, featured in both virtual and in-person events.
