Nawfal Abdullah Abbas is an Iraqi poet and digital collage artist who grew up in Basra. In his poetry, he is interested in humanistic themes, such as free will and comprehending tragedy in a country with a long history of wars. Abbas specialized in English literature and is preparing for an M.A. in film & comparative literature abroad.
Nawfal Abdullah Abbas received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and will use the award to help publish his first poetry collection as a book.
