Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Iraq
Mustafa Riyad Qassem is a photographer and a graduate of the Faculty of Management and Economics who lives in Baghdad. Qassem entered the world of photography as a hobby, after which it became an essential part of his life.
“Documenting events in Iraq is very beautiful because it is linked to events and topics of joy and sadness,” he writes. 
Qassem received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and is using the award for photography equipment.
