Momen Faiz

Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Palestine
Momen Faiz is a Palestinian photographer. Faiz has worked in photojournalism and video for over a decade and much of his work has documented the ongoing war in the Gaza region. In 2008, Faiz was injured while working due to an attack by Israeli forces, resulting in his legs being amputated. Faiz returned to his photographic work in a wheelchair. Faiz’s office was also targeted and bombarded by Israeli planes in 2021. 
Faiz received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and is using the award for camera equipment.
