Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Angola

Jovens da Mulemba is a theater group based in Angola that coordinates a variety of community projects. Their current project, called Minha Comunidade, Minha Responsabilidade, provides professional training courses to the community including classes on make-up, manicures and pedicures, and recycling and crafts. These trainings also aim to help people establish their own sources of income.

Jovens da Mulemba received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and will be using the award for their courses, transportation, and to purchase training materials and equipment.
