Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Brazil

Emmanuel Linhas, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a poet, rapper, composer, and political activisit who contributes to the poetry slam and hip-hop music scenes in his city. Linhas also facilitates arts education workshops, focusing on creative writing and rap for participants of all ages. His efforts aim to encourage creative resistance within his community around racial and climate justice issues.

Linhas received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2024.
