Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Angola
EcoAngola is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting sustainability with the aim of preserving the environment and promoting social well-being in Angola. EcoAngola organizes events, conferences and exhibitions, as well as organizes and supports beach cleaning campaigns, tree planting campaigns, and other campaigns aimed at preserving the environment and promoting social well-being. They organize training sessions and webinars on various topics related to environmental sustainability, aimed at schools, public and private organizations, and the general public.
EcoAngola received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and are using the award for a project called “ya tchi yetu” (the earth is ours) focused on permaculture. The project will include activities such as composting, organic agriculture, and recycling.
