Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Brazil
The audiovisual collective Daje kapap Eypi, is formed by three women from the Munduruku people who in 2014, in the first stage of the Sawre Muybu territory’s self-demarcation, created the group to record and show the reality of the territory. Currently, the collective works in the territory making denunciations and strengthening the struggle of the Munduruku people.
Daje kapap Eypi received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and is using the award for the maintenance of work equipment and to finish a documentary that they are making.
