Palasa Dance Company is a contemporary dance company founded by Miguel Carlos in Angola. Their dance performances explore themes such as nature, light, strength, and the ways that we are all connected. The word “palasa” comes from the Kimbundu national language, meaning “hope”.
Palasa Dance Company received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022.
