Cultures of Resistance Awardee - Brazil
Movimento Potigatapuia is an Indigenous activist group located in the state of Ceará in Northeast Brazil. The group is united by its mission to defend the Indigenous land and territory of the Potigatapuia people. The members organize political actions in defense of their ancestral land and actions within the community to promote Potigatapuia culture.
Movimento Potigatapuia received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2024.
