Slam Resistência is a poetry collective rooted in the vibrant spirit of protests and social movements in São Paulo, Brazil. In response to the escalating challenges posed by rising exclusion, violence, and social inequality driven by right-wing influences in Brazil, Slam Resistência emergeed as a powerful force for resistance through poetry. Specializing in hosting Poetry Slams in puiblic spaces, Slam Resistência serves as a vital cultural platform for youth expression. These competitions not only provide a space for artistic creativity but also serve as a channel for dissent and identity expression.

Slam Resistência received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2023. They are using the award to organize more slam poetry competitions.
