Biblioteca Despadronizada

Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Angola
Biblioteca Despadronizada is a reading and art space that was built to reclaim a space under a bridge for those often excluded in society, including people living in the outskirts, slums, underprivileged areas of Luanda. The library offers music and cultural events, and even held a screening of our film, BURKINABÈ RISING: the art of resistance in Burkina Faso.
Biblioteca Despadronizada received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and will be using their award to purchase a projector for the library.
