Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Angola
Cine Zunga is an initiative of the production company “Geração 80” in Angola. The organization is dedicated to bringing open-air cinema to audiences across Angola’s 164 municipalities. With a mission to establish Angola as a leading force in cinema, Cine Zunga prioritizes showcasing Angolan-made films that delve into the rich tapestry of Angolan culture and history.
Cine Zunga received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2024. They are using the award to support their film screenings across Angola.
