Wanessa Ribeiro is a self-taught illustrator and digital artist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Webeiro’s work is deeply rooted in the celebration of Brazil’s Indigenous cultures and the rich biodiversity of its flora and fauna, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental and cultural preservation. Her art primarily serves social projects and Indigenous organizations, contributing to efforts that uplift and empower her community. Additionally, Wanessa is dedicated to educating and empowering other Indigenous individuals. She teaches courses in digital art, animation, and audiovisual production, enabling others to express their talents and stories through modern mediums.

Wanessa Ribeiro received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2023.
