Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Malawi

Based in the Dzaleka refugee camp in Malawi, Union for Youth Art and Vocational Skills is dedicated to empowering youth through art and vocational training. Their mission is to foster creative expression and self-reliance by engaging in activities such as dance, poetry, drama, and music. Showcase performances are held in events throughout the Dzaleka refugee camp. 

Union for Youth Art and Vocational Skills received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2023 and used the grant to purchase A/V equipment.
