Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Palestine
Isaac is a performance artist who combines acting, singing, dancing, and video to explore new mediums of live performance and multidisciplinary art. In her practice, she reflects on what it means to be producing innovative multidisciplinary artistic work in Palestine. She explores themes including love, resistance, public space, multiple selves, and collective imagination from the perspective of a woman and a citizen in occupied Palestine. She presented her project “Another Lover’s Discourse” at the 2020 Arab Woman Artists Now Festival in London.
Isaac received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2021.
