Jolina Longos is a surfer from Pacifico, located on the island of Siargao, Philippines, who is a inspiring example of women in sports. She has been an active participant in national surfing contests from a young age, achieving considerable success. Longos has secured the championship title in four surfing competitions across the Philippines, showcasing her skill and dedication to the sport. Residing in the northern part of the island, away from the well-known tourist areas, she faces greater challenges in securing sponsorships. Despite these obstacles, Longos has remained committed to her passion for surfing. Her achievements and perseverance have made her a symbol of pride in her community, earning her the affectionate title of “the pride of Pacifico.”
Jolina Longos received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2023.
