​​Ibrahim Rashid Otieno is a fine art and documentary photographer from Kenya and founder of Eastlando Photography in Nairobi. His photography often documents the lives of vulnerable groups, and the daily challenges they face. His latest project, “pamoja tujengane” documents the lives of people who rely on scavenging in the local dumpsites for income, and the dangers and health effects of their work.
​​Ibrahim Rashid Otieno received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2022 and will be using his award grant to provide food and material support to waste workers, and also to purchase new camera equipment.
