Cultures of Resistance Awardee — Brazil
Since its inception in 2018, Guia Negro has been curating tours that highlight the over five centuries of Afro-Brazilian history in Brazil, especially contributions that have been historically overlooked due to racism. Through a series of tourist experiences across many Brazilian cities, Guia Negro leads participants through historical sights and contemporary venues that celebrate Afro-Brazilian culture, music, and cuisine. Additionally, Guia Negro produces content on their website that promotes travel in Brazil, Afro-Brazilian culture, social movements, and entrepreneurship. 
Guia Negro received a Cultures of Resistance Award (CoR Award) in 2023. They are using the award to support their walking tours.
